What does the silence involve? 🤫
I will slowly guide you into the session with a chance to ask questions and share at the beginning. During the middle of the session, we will be invited to let go of talking to each other and be in our own practice. I will be talking to guide you through the meditations though (like listening to a guided meditation but live) If you really do need to talk to us during the session you can of course pull me aside.
Why periods of silence? 🤷🏿
Practicing in silence really allows us to cut out the everyday external noise so we can drop into the body, calm our nervous system and see our mental patterns more clearly.
Who is this for?
Those with some previous meditation practice such as:
➡️ You have attended a mindfulness meditation course with a qualified instructor such as Finding Peace, MBSR, MBCT, MBCT-L.
OR
➡️ You have had a regular personal meditation practice for at least 6 weeks.
OR
➡️ You have attended silent meditation retreats in the past.
You don't need to meet all three of the above, just one to join.
This session just isn't suitable for complete beginners. If you aren't sure if the session is suitable for you just pop me a message.
Accessibility ♿
All practices can be adapted for those with limited mobility. There will be options to sit in a chair for the movement.
