Terms + Conditions

When you tick the box that says 'I agree to the terms + conditions', you are agreeing to the waiver of liability below:

I acknowledge that Katie Austin Yoga and Mindfulness and its representatives are not licensed therapists. The content of any Katie Austin Yoga and Mindfulness’ educational activity including mindfulness, classes, and workshops ("activities") are not a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All activities from Katie Austin Yoga and Mindfulness are for informational purposes only.

I recognize that mindfulness, stress recovery supports, and resilience practices have the possibility of reconnecting me with physical sensations, thoughts, and emotions. I recognize the inherent risk in participation. I accept the responsibility to seek care of a physician or other qualified health provider with questions I have regarding a mental health or medical condition if they arise.

I acknowledge that my participation in mindfulness, stress recovery, or resilience practice, webinars, classes, and workshops is voluntary and that I am ultimately responsible for my own experience, well-being, comfort and safety throughout the activity. I am aware that these learning activities may feel challenging for me, and I accept the responsibility to modify them as needed, and to monitor my own well-being, health and safety. I accept responsibility to decide whether to follow mindfulness invitations, to modify them, or to opt out of practices based upon my needs.

I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, adjust the posture and ask for support from the teacher. I will continue to breathe smoothly.

Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions. I affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to practice yoga.

I hold Katie Austin Yoga and Mindfulness and its representatives harmless for any injury or harm acquired while participating in these mindfulness and yoga activities.  I hereby commit that I am fit to participate in mindfulness and yoga activities offered by Katie Austin Yoga and Mindfulness.
