Q: What mindfulness experience do I need to join?

Those with some previous meditation practice such as: ➡️ You have attended a mindfulness meditation course with a qualified instructor such as Finding Peace, MBSR, MBCT, MBCT-L. OR ➡️ You have had a regular(ish) personal meditation practice for at least 6 weeks. OR ➡️ You have attended silent meditation retreats in the past. What mindfulness experience do I need to join?

What are the monthly 1.5hour circle dates?

The 1.5hour monthly circles will be on 1st Monday of he month other than April. They will all be 6-7.30pm

Question 3

What happens in the monthly 1.5hour sessions?

In the monthly sessions there will be a theme of focus, seasonal mindful movement based on qigong and/or yoga, stiller meditations and group discussion around the theme and how practice is going. You will be invited to go into breakout rooms in groups of 2/3 at times to share about your practice reflections as well as sharing in the whole group space.

Question 4

What happens in the weekly mindful movement and meditation sessions?

These sessions will be part mindful movement and part stiller meditation and the practice part of the session is 45mins long. There will also be a chance to stay and reflect on how the session was and ask any questions (this part will not be recorded). You can join these live each Wednesday lunchtimes at 11.45am-12.30pm with a choice to stay until 12.45pm if you want to join some reflections/dissussion OR you can watch the session recorded via the mindful practice library.

How will I access the recordings?

The recordings will be accessible via the free Wix Fit app that you can download onto your phone or tablet for super easy video access. You will also be able to access the videos by logging into my website members area if you want to watch on a computer or laptop.

How can I join the live sessions?

Accepted Answer

The live sessions will all be joined via Zoom and you will be sent the link for the sessions via email before the session starts.

Question 7

What happens in the online 3 hour mini-retreat sessions?

Accepted Answer

The seasonal 3 hour practice sessions will be a chance to deepen your practice through 3 hours of continuous practice. There will be a gentle encouragement to be silent during the session if that is possible in the context of your life but don't worry if not.

We will begin with an opening circle where there will be change to talk and connect with each other and set intentions, then to let go of talking as best you can and drop into practice. We will flow between mindful movement, mindful walking and stiller practices. This is a chance to put down everyday responsibilities and rest into being mode. More instructions for the day will be shared with you before each session.

These sessions will not be recorded so please join live if you can.

The first one is Sunday 8th Feb 9am-12pm - other dates tbc but will be roughly every 3 months.

Do I have to come to every session?

No you absolutely don't have to attend every live session - they will all be recorded (other than the 4hour silent practice sessions). I would really encourage you to attend the monthly 1.5hour circles on the first Monday of each month though as there will be a chance to connect with the group in small groups.

What is the community group page?

Accepted Answer

There is a community group page where you will be invited to introduce yourself when you first join the community and there will be weekly reflective question posts you are invited to comment on. It can be really supportive to others to share the delights, discoveries and challenges of your practice. This is not a space for unsolicited advice giving, sharing traumatic or very personal experiences.

How do I cancel the monthly rolling membership?

You can cancel the monthly rolling membership option at any time. See instructions below...
1. Go to my website, logging in to the account you bought the membership through.
2. Go to the drop down menu where your name is and go to 'My subscriptions'
3. Click cancel membership.

You will have membership access until 1 month after your last payment.

What happens when I join the membership?

When you join you will receive an email with information about how to download the wix fit app, when you can access the mindful yoga, movement and meditation library straight away to get you started. You will also have instant access to my cultivating stability mini-course. These can also be accessed via your web browser. You will then receive weekly updates about what we have going on that week so you don't forget the live sessions.
